The program is
designed to give the children a mild introduction to the martial arts,
self-discipline, and respect while building confidence and an “I can
do” attitude. Children will work on coordination, balance, and simple
self defense techniques. Emphasis will be put on physical fitness and
mental focus using various drills and games.
Classes will consist
of basic Tae Kwon Do techniques and forms. Emphasis is placed on
the martial arts learned not to be used to bully or intimidate, but
for self defense only.
Instructor Steven
B. Morrissey, Jr. began his HAPKIDO training under the direction
of Master George Kattouf. He continued his Tae-Kwon-Do training
achieving High Red Belt in 2002. In 2004 he attained his 1st
